Warrant: Smyrna Walgreens Employee Stole Money

He faces a charge of theft by taking in connection with the June 17 incident.

A Smyrna Walgreens employee has been arrested in connection with the June 17 theft of more than $5,000 from the South Cobb Drive location.

Jackie D. Scott fraudulently obtained cash "from register terminals, nightly deposits and fraudulent returns," according to the warrant. "The total loss suffered was $5,519.41."

Scott was arrested Wednesday on one count of theft. He was released Thursday from the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on $5,000 bond.
