Warrant: Woman Aided Teen in Cumberland Mall Theft

She is in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center in lieu of $7,500 bond.

An Atlanta woman allegedly worked in concert with a 14-year-old boy to steal more than $1,000 in clothing and hats from Cumberland Mall, then bit the Macy's prevention officer who tried to stop them.

Store video allegedly showed Jenell Nicole Nations give merchandise to the teen to place in an Old Navy bag, according to an arrest warrant. When Nations exited the store about 4 p.m. Sunday, the teen was close behind carrying the bag, according to the warrant.

"The video demonstrates that the juvenile saw loss prevention pursue said accused and at that time, the juvenile is seen on video dropping the bag in between aisles of clothing near the exit," according to the warrant. "The juvenile was apprehended shortly thereafter."

Nations allegedly bit the loss prevention officer's right forearm when he attempted to take her into custody and unsuccessfully tried to spray him with mace, according to the warrant.

She was arrested Sunday afternoon on one count of battery, one count of theft by shoplifting and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She remains in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center in lieu of $7,500 bond.
