City of Smyrna Announces MLK Day Closings, Changes
Monday, Jan. 20 is a federal holiday.
The City of Smyrna will observe Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day by closing its administrative offices and altering trash pick-up routes during the holiday.
According to the city's website, public safety will operate as usual but some administrative departments will close to observe the federal holiday on Jan. 20.
In addition. Smyrna residents will have to adjust their garbage days as follows:
•Monday routes picked up Tuesday.
•Tuesday routes picked up Wednesday.
•Thursday and Friday routes unchanged.
No large items or yard waste will be collected next week.
