Residents are invited to experience the unique, and fun learning environment of the Cobb Safety Village during an open house from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Visitors will see a child-size representation of the county and learn safety techniques. Public safety personnel at the center will also teach students how to react to fire, crime and disaster emergencies, along with drug and alcohol awareness.
The village includes a replica house complete with fire dangers and a town village with storefronts and roads to teach pedestrian safety. The Safety Village is located at 1220 Al Bishop Drive, Marietta. For more information, call 770-852-3270.
