Young Democrats of Cobb County Scholarship

The Young Democrats of Cobb County will be awarding two scholarships to deserving teens graduating  from a Cobb County High School.  

Applicants must be a graduating senior with an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher and plans to attend a Title V college or University within 12 months of issuance. A copy of HS transcript must be submitted with application or sealed letter from High School verifying GPA at time of graduation. Applicants must be registered voters or be registered to vote at the time of award utilization. Applicants must be US citizens, United States National or lawful permanent  resident of the United States 

The Essay:  Within 200-300 typed words, describe why civic engagement is important in American democracy. Describe your role as a citizen and how you can affect change in your local community.
