Finalists for Smyrna Police Chief, Library Director

David Lee and Mary Wallace Moore have been selected as the two sole finalists for the positions.

The City of Smyrna recently announced David Lee as the sole finalist for the Smyrna Police Chief position, pending approval at the next City Council meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Lee has been member of the Marietta Police Department for more than 30 years. He started as a patrol officer in 1981, and currently holds the title as Marietta's Deputy Police Chief.

He has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice administration and a master's degree in business and public administration from Columbia State University, according to the Marietta Police Department.

This week, the City of Smyrna also announced Mary Wallace Moore as the sole finalist for the city's Library Director position. Moore currently serves as the Reference and Adult Services Manager for the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library in Huntsville, Alabama, according to the City of Smyrna website.
