GOP Primary: Who's Donating in Smyrna-Vinings?

Super Tuesday is a day away, but so far Mitt Romney is beating former Georgia congressman Newt Gingrich in the money race in metro Atlanta.

Romney has raised $746,951 from Atlanta area donors while Gingrich has raised $299,685, according to campaign finance reports.

We took the latest fundraising reports from the Federal Election Commission and mapped them for the Atlanta area.

A quick look at the mapped data shows that Vinings donors have shown some support for Gingrich as have those in Mableton, Smyrna's neighbor to the southwest. However, Romney appears to be popular with donors in Smyrna.

The latest analysis by the New York Time's Five Thirty Eight blog and Real Clear Politics both show Gingrich is very likely to win Georgia on Tuesday, but probably not with enough votes to take all of the state's delegates.
