In a recent Patch Local Voices blog, Hill thanked Smyrna residents for their support and shared his accomplishments on representing District 6 for the first year.

"I see challenges and new experiences as learning opportunities. With this being my first year as a State Senator, I’ve certainly had a lot of learning to do! But my fellow Senators have been fantastic mentors. I had the privilege of authoring four pieces of legislation, three of which passed the house. I also carried six House Bills successfully through the Senate. In addition to that, I co-sponsored almost 60 other pieces of legislation–many of which passed."
