Perry's talk was expected to focus on changes to the tax code and tort reform (efforts to overhaul the civil lawsuit system). Some Mitt Romney supporters say he also took an unfair swipe at a fellow Republican, linking Romney to Obama's health care plan.

Perry's appearance was part of a conference being held by the Georgia Public Policy Foundation, which is partnering with the Conservative Policy Leadership Institute. Other scheduled speakers include Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus.

I have the highest respect and am a financial supporter of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation, the organization that provided this forum. But a man who uses an executive order to mandate shots for young girls against public opinion and his state legislature is not a free market thinker. Perry is a little too Mercky for me.
