A look around the Smyrna-Vinings area to check out just what's going on tonight.

Also on the government front is the Facilities and Technology Committee is meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Central Office on Glover Street in Marietta. If the mere mention of SPLOST excites you, this is the meeting for you.

If you’re not so much interested in such governmental matter, then maybe plan a visit to the for “Pint-Size Polka’’ from 6 - 6:45 p.m. Young children of all ages and their parents are invited to join in an original, entertaining and educational musical experience as “Uncle Mike” rolls out the fun with snappy polka tunes that sneakily teach children about the alphabet, occupations, and even a smidgen of other languages.

Funny and educational video segments are interspersed with the interactive show, which features lots of audience participation. Kids can volunteer to wear silly hats, learn to dance the polka, compete in a geography quiz, and get down and goofy with Uncle Mike’s original polka songs.

Meanwhile, it’s food service industry night at , while there’s trivia at both (7:30 p.m.) and (8). Or shuffle on over to and catch the Stanley Cup as the Vancouver Canucks will try to secure their first-ever Cup title with a win at Boston

Oh, and from 5 - 7 p.m., everything is half price at in Vinings. Grab a cool treat and head over to the Smyrna Little League where the 9-year-old District II All-Star Tournament continues this evening with games at 6 and 8 p.m. at Brinkley Field.
