More people are stepping up to challenge language of the TSPLOST ballot question preamble, and this time the challenge may come as a lawsuit.

The Transportation Leadership Coalition (TLC)took the first formal step towards challengingGeorgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp for adding promotional language to the official state ballot to promote passage of Referendum 1 or the Transportation Investment Act.

Northeast Cobb Man Fights Foreclosure

A Northeast Cobb man who feels he has been unjustly foreclosed upon by his bank has begun a 24 hour, seven day a week occupation protest to save his home.

Steve Bordeaux, an unemployed homeowner, has been fighting to keep his out of foreclosure. In order to save his house, he applied for an emergency home loan modification from his bank. The process was moving along properly until, according to Bordeaux, the IRS did not get his tax transcripts to the bank in time. Because of the delay, the bank began foreclosure sale proceedings.

Docs: Kell Teacher Had History of Misconduct

The  teacher who was  was not a stranger to improper behavioir, according to documents acquired by the Marietta Daily Journal.

According to James Chadwick Brigham's discipline file, he was previously suspended for seven days for calling a student's boyfriend a, "sheet head" and commented on the size of the private parts of a nude fresco.

KSU to Create School of Art and Design

Kennesaw State University is turning its Department of Visual Arts into the School of Art and Design.

According to a news release, the change from department to school reflects the growth that the art department has seen in recent years. From 2004-2009, the number of art majors increased by 70 percent, well above the university’s average student population increase of 25 percent.
