Online voting continues for new license plate

The winning plate design is expected to be announced by the Gov. Nathan Deal on July 15.

Do you no longer find Georgia’s license plate peachy?

Well you’re in luck because the next standard issue license plate is scheduled to be produced next year. And you can have a say in what it will look like as online voting is underway to choose the state’s new license plate.

More than 500 design entries were submitted by the public, and a panel of Georgia college and university art professors helped narrow the selection to the eight design finalists.

Online voting continues until July 8, when the three plates that received the most votes will be presented to Gov. Nathan Deal. The winning plate is expected to be announced by the governor on July 15.

Online voting can be accessed here and state officials are encouraging all Georgians to vote for the design that best represents the state.
