Georgia's primary is here. The polls open Tuesday at 7 a.m., but nearly 20,000 Cobb County voters have already cast their ballots and about 7,000 more have been issued absentee ballots.
Beth Kish, Cobb County Board of Elections registration manager, reported that 18,306 people participated in advance voting. She also said the Board of Elections has issued 7,074 absentee ballots, though her office has not received all of the completed ballots yet. that there were 398,001 people registered to vote in the July 31 primary.
