“It’s not totally finished,’’ Pritchett said at Tuesday’s council meeting. “The sides as I understand it will need to be put in place after the road opens.”

Wet weather doesn’t help contractors and construction crews finish jobs on time and they’re still working feverishly at the bridge and the development at Concord Rd. and South Cobb Dr.

The store and fuel center are still slated for a Wednesday opening this coming week. The new traffic light, which is installed on the hill just north of Concord and provides an intersection entrance into the development, is set to be active on Monday.

Recently, the traffic lights in the area have not been in sync, or as in the words of Mayor Max Bacon, “really messed up.”

“When you’re heading east on Concord, only one car can turn left before the light changes,’’ Bacon said. "I've had some concerns."
