Wolfe Center Roof Replacement Bid Gets Vote Tonight

The contract to replace the roof of the city's adult recreation facility could be assigned to the lowest bidder during Monday evening's Smyrna City Council meeting.

American Property Restoration, Inc. has submitted a $61,923.92 bid to repair the Aline Wolfe Adult Recreation Center. The bid, and a bid from competitor ICS, Inc., both included a $5,000 contingency line item which was required by the city.

ICS' bid came in at $99,500, and a third bid was submitted late and returned unopened, city documents show.

Additionally, the city will vote on the possible awarding of a contract to Ardito Construction Co., Inc., for the River Valley Sewer Project. Ardito's bid came in at $88,000, which included a $10,000 contingency line item. Six other bids were received, none of which came in under $100,000.
