Woodland Brook Drainage Improvement Update
Smyrna-Vinings Patch will post a weekly status update for the Woodland Brook Drainage Project each Friday.
According to Cobb County Distirct 2 Commissioner Bob Ott, excavation and sanitary and utility relocation continues as part of the Woodland Brook Drainage Project.
The roadway was closed to traffic on Monday, June 18 and is expected to remain closed until Sunday, July 29. Contractors are working to replace dual 48-inch pipes beneath the roadway with a 25-foot bottomless arch culvert. The improvements are intended to prevent flooding in the area.
Local traffic can use Randall Farm Road as a detour while Woodland Brook Drive is closed.
