Tuesday's winter weather has prompted the postponement of classes and activities in the Cobb County School District Wednesday.
No district personnel, including non-teaching and non-school staff, will report on Wednesday.
District officials made the announcement shortly before 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
Cobb schools dismissed students two hours early on Tuesday, but there are reports that students were still remaining at their schools because of weather-related delays in bus transportation.
Patch is working to get updates and details about those delays. Some parents took out their concerns, and frustrations, on the Cobb school district's Facebook page.
But other school districts in metro Atlanta, including Bartow and Cherokee, have either cancelled or suspended bus service because of icy roads and have asked parents to come to their child's schools for pickup.
