“Good things are happening in public education, and we’re proud to be a leader in the future of great schooling in our state,” said Georgia Connections Academy Principal Heather Robinson. “We look forward to welcoming more elementary, middle, and now high schoolers next year!”

GACA is an innovative public school option that gives students the flexibility to learn at home with a high-quality curriculum that meets rigorous state education standards and offers a cutting-edge, virtual approach to school success. The flexibility and online aspects of the program are particularly appealing to today’s NetGen students and will meet the demands of many high schoolers who are concentrating on sports, arts, career or college preparatory tracks.

Authorized by the Georgia State Board of Education, the school has just completed its first academic year where 700 students received K-8 instruction.  All instruction comes from highly-qualified, state-certified teachers.

Now, rising 8th graders can continue their education at GACA as a full high school is added to the school for the coming academic year.

Georgia Connections Academy serves a wide range of Georgia students, including those who are significantly ahead or behind grade level, those who need a flexible schedule, those who learn at a different pace from their peers, and those who need more individualized attention or live in isolated rural settings. Homebound and previously home-schooled students can also thrive at Georgia Connections Academy.

“We’ve become a tight knit community school offering all the services and resources needed to create a well-rounded student experience with clubs, field trips, counselors, and an involved network of families,” said Principal Robinson.

Families seeking more information about Georgia Connections Academy and its approach to personalized public education can visit http://www.GeorgiaConnectionsAcademy.com or call 800-382-6010.

Real-time, online, virtual information sessions will also be available for families who cannot attend an in-person session – more information is available on the school’s website.
