Hollywood stars Vaughn, Stiller come to Smyrna

Extras can earn money for their school PTSA or Children's Healthcare of Atlanta by participating in movie scenes shot tonight and Thursday at Campbell High's football stadium.

He may have been on the “Late Show with David Letterman’’ on Tuesday night, but Ben Stiller will be on set in Smyrna tonight.

And so will Vince Vaughn as the pair will be at ’s football stadium along with the rest of the production crew for the movie Neighborhood Watch.

As has been reported, Catrett Locke Casting is seeking extras to fill the stadium stands tonight and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Each participating extra has the opportunity to earn $7.50 for his or her designated school Parent Teacher Student Association.

And as was communicated on Atlanta radio station 92.9 dave-fm on Tuesday (along with the nugget that Stiller and Vaughn will be at tonight’s shoot), participants also have the choice to designate Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta as the recipient of the $7.50.

Attend one or both nights, but you must remain the entire time. Everyone is welcome. Eat before you come and feel free to bring your own snacks and seat cushions.

Everyone must sign a release form to participate. In order to obtain the release form, send an email request to chsthewatch@gmail.com or see here.

A form will be returned to you by email. Complete the form and bring it with you, and note that if you do not bring the form with you, there will be long lines for sign up to participate.

And make sure to specify which school you represent when you complete your form, or if you’d like the money to go to CHOA.

The will be working traffic direction details on Ward Street, Fleming Street, and Atlanta Road to regulate extras and equipment onto the filming venue. The film's production crew has set up tents at the Belmont Hills development site as that is serving as home base for the next few days.

Other stars in Neighborhood Watch include Rosemarie DeWitt, Jonah Hill, Will Forte and Richard Ayoade. There is a possiblity that Hill could be in Smyrna, too, for the filming.

Movie Insider has the film coming out in theaters on July 27, 2012. The website’s synopsis of the movie: “A city-guy moves to a suburban community, joins the neighborhood watch and uncovers a large conspiracy.”
