Campbell Middle, Belmont Hills Rewarded for High Progress

The two Smyrna schools are among five Cobb schools named Title I Reward Schools.

Two Smyrna schools have been counted among the five Cobb schools named Title I Reward Schools by the Georgia Department of Education as part of the new state accountability system.

Belmont Hills Elementary School and Campbell Middle School were among the 10 percent of Title I schools statewide that showed the greatest improvement in student performance over the past three years, according to the Cobb County School District. Title I is the federal law that provides extra funds for schools based on student economic needs.

The two Smyrna schools were joined in honors by Osborne High School, Lindley Sixth Grade Academy, and Smitha Middle School.
