All Atlanta VITA centers are supported by the United Way of Greater of Atlanta. Since its inception, Osborne students have prepared almost 700 tax returns, yielding refunds over $500,000, and saving taxpayers thousands in preparation fees. The center is run in conjunction with the school’s business education curriculum.

In addition to tax preparation experience, students develop office competencies such as marketing, data and records management, scheduling, and reporting. Business Education teacher Michael Devault serves as the center’s site coordinator and oversees all aspects of its operations.
