Russell Elementary School Holds Science Fair

Nine winning projects will be advanced to the county science fair later this year.

Young scientists at a Smyrna elementary school will be showing off their research during the school science fair Thursday evening.

Russell Elementary School's Science Fair challenged students as individuals or in groups of two or three to use the Scientific Method, answer a specific question, and provide data that supported or refuted up the answer given.

Thursday evening's science fair will begin in at 6:30 p.m. the cafeteria, followed by a visit to every project submitted by students. Once all projects have been examined and judged, winners will be announced.

The top three projects in grades four, five, and six, will be eligible for the county science fair on March 1 at Walton High School.
