Smyrna City Council Recognizes Teacher of the Year

The Campbell Middle School humanities teacher was surprised with the award at a recent school assembly.

Rhonda Lokey was given a proclamation recognizing her prodigious teaching talents and found time to joke around with the Smyrna City Council.

Lokey was named the Cobb County middle school Teacher of the Year during a school assembly at Campbell Middle School early last month

The award from her peers at Campbell is the fourth such award Lokey has received in her 31-year teaching career; she was named Teacher of the Year during previous stints at Dodgen, Lost Mountain, and Smitha middle schools in Cobb County.
