Smyrna Science Teacher Awarded for Excellence

The Campbell Middle School educator has been honored for his hard work in the classroom.

A Campbell Middle School teacher has earned recognition from the Georgia Science Teachers Association (GSTA) for his outstanding work in the classroom.

Dr. Andrew Kutscher has been named the 2014 Middle School Science Teacher of the Year and will be honored at a banquet on Feb. 7, 2014 at the Armory Ballroom in Macon. The awards banquet is a highlight of the GSTA's Feb. 6 - 8 Science Conference.

Other winners for 2014 include Elementary School Teacher of the Year Tracey Rivers from Gwinnett County, High School Teacher of the Year Christine Lauer from Cherokee County, and College Level Teacher of the Year Dr. David Rosengrant from Kennesaw State University.
