Smyrna-Vinings Seniors Sweep Up Scholarships

Several Smyrna-Vinings seniors have been awarded scholarships for both academics and athletics.

Smyrna-Vinings seniors will be graduating in the coming weeks and some of their best and brightest have accepted scholarships to help pave the way to college.

Several students received the honor of being named National Merit Honorary Scholars including Danielle Cumin, The Lovett School; Grant Fergusson, The Lovett School; John Morgan Baker, Westminster Academy; Nicole Dayhoff, Westminster Academy; Nirosha Perera, Campbell High School; Suraj Bhat, Campbell High School; and Bryan Sanderson, The Lovett School.

Brandon Walker, Campbell High School, and Marcus Jackson, The Lovett School, both qualified for National Merit Achievement scholarships valued at $2,500.

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity recently awarded Campbell High School senior Hazim Smith a $1,000 scholarship for his academic achievements. Smith has been accepted to Northwestern University in Illinois.

seniors Imani Gibson and Yvonne Wright recently signed volleyball scholarships for Morris College. Their classmate Baylee Hawkins signed a basketball scholarship for the same school.
