If you want to learn photography and only have time for one class or if you have purchased a digital camera and don't know how to use it, this is the class for you. In this class you will learn how take great photos of family members, special events, indoor and outdoor sporting events and to capture those once in a life time moments in one three to four hour class.   Students also learn composition and how to use the 'exposure triangle': shutter speed, aperture and ISO. This is an excellent class for people who want to learn how to take great sports action photos and how to take photos in low light situation. We'll talk about focus, depth of field and sharpness, as well as how lenses work and students will receive a textbook filled with examples and information to help them in their quest to become a complete photographer. Atlanta Journal Constitution photographer Johnny Crawford teaches the class. He has been at the AJC for 27years and has taught photography at Clark Atlanta University and The University of Georgia. He is currently the AJC beat photographer for Georgia Tech football and has photographed three Olympic Games and over 600 major sporting and news events. You will learn more in this one class than you will learn in some two to three classes!!

All students need to bring their camera and their 3 favorite photographs. If you have not purchased a camera, just bring your 3 favorite photographs. A camera is not required for the class.

Email Jcrawfordajc@yahoo.com to register for the class.

Class has a 12 student limit.

Are these the apartments that were once called "Garrison Plantation"?
Lissa K. June 15, 2013 at 09:32 pm
This is Garrison Plantation - Garrison Lakes - Lakefront Vista. I lived there when it was familyRead More owned. It went from sister to brother then sold. Changed name from Garrison Plantation (because it wasn't PC) (but no one thought about what a garrison was) to Garrison Lakes (there's only one lake) to Lakefront Vista (under new ownership.) It's a dump now. The layout and size of the apts. are great. Even the location is great. Still know some people there. But it went downhill.

I'd rather answer the question "How do you feel about Roswell Street Baptist Church?" MyRead More answer: can't stand it. This incident is just another in its long and bigoted history. During the anti gay lifestyle debacle it gave out copies of the 10 Commandments. That anti gay resolution drafted by Gordon Wysong and enacted by the Cobb Co. Commissioners cost the county an Olympic venue. Whenever I hear about that church I think of the OM who called the church's prominent members The Marietta Mafia!

Its sad, that young people who are gay and often struggle to accept themselves as they are, faceRead More such fury and rejection by a church that preaches love, compassion and forgiveness for most but not all. No wonder many young people, the vast majority of whom are or will be heterosexual find the church increasingly irrelevant in their lives with attitudes like this.
