New Renderings of Braves Stadium, Mixed-Use in Cobb

The Atlanta Braves on Wednesday released conceptual renderings of the planned ballpark and mixed-use development they will open in the Cumberland area of Cobb County in April 2017.

The $622 million stadium is set to seat 41,000-plus fans and drawings released depict a venue with at least four decks and a broad sun canopy with fan-gathering space. 

"This is a very early look at how our vision is shaping up and, even though we are still months away from final plans and drawings, we are very pleased with the progress," said John Schuerholz, president of the Atlanta Braves, in a news release. "The renderings represent the sense of place we intend to create 365 days a year in addition to a world-class ballpark."

The $400 million mixed-use complex around the stadium will feature retail, dining, housing, office, a boutique hotel, an entertainment space and green space. It is scheduled for full completion in 2019.

The team also announced the launch of a wait list for fans interested in purchasing season tickets in the new Cobb stadium. Current season ticket holders already receive top priority in securing season tickets for the new ballpark. See here to join the wait list.
