Patch Picks: Where to Watch the Super Bowl

The Falcons didn't make it to the big one, but Super Bowl Sunday approaches nonetheless. We've got the best local spots to watch the game ... and even who to root for.

Got tickets for the big game, Sunday night? We’ll if you’re not Texas-bound for Super Bowl XLV, then we’ve go the perfect local water holes to watch Pittsburgh and Green Bay go at for the Lombardi Trophy.

- This friendly Cobb Parkway pub is known locally as a Pittsburgh Steelers bar, so one should probably refrain from sporting one of those cheesehead hats here on Sunday. Loads of flat-screen, hi-def TV’s will give everyone a great view.

Tilted Kilt - As a relative newcomer to the Smyna-Vinings scene, the Tilted Kilt is becoming famous for its festive and terrific atmosphere. While some people could be talking about the many TVs and the sportsbar scene, others might also be referring to the friendly waitresses in those tiny kilts.

- is an unarguably classy joint with excellent food and sophisticated drinks. Nevertheless, we’ve heard from knowledgeable sources that it’s a great place to watch the big game as well

- is a favorite Irish pub in Vinings Village with a large pull-down projector screen to watch the Super Bowl. Hey, the Irish like a little football with their pints o’Guinness.

Regardless of where you watch the game, and if you don’t have a dog in the fight, you might root for overtime. That’s because Papa John’s is offering fans a free large, up-to-three topping pizza to fans should the Super Bowl be tied after regulation for the first time in the game’s history. It doesn't matter who wins after the game reaches overtime.

To win, fans must sign up by midnight Saturday for the Papa Points online loyalty program. If the game goes into an extra session, 25 Papa Points, the number needed to redeem the pizza, will be awarded to all members. See here for more info.
