Smyrna's Tay Glover-Wright Signs with Atlanta Falcons

Former Campbell High School and Utah State University student-athlete Tay Glover-Wright signs free agent contract with NFL club.

Former Campbell High School student-athlete Tay Glover-Wright has signed a free agent contract with the Atlanta Falcons.

The 6-foot, 175-pound Glover-Wright, a cornerback from Utah State, played in all 14 games with 10 starts during his senior season for the Mountain West Conference school.

He finished the year eighth on the team with 52 tackles (31-solo, 21-assist), while ranking second on the team with 10 pass breakups and tied for seventh with five tackles for loss. Glover-Wright also returned 19 kickoffs for 429 yards during the season, and his return average of 22.6 yards ranked sixth in the Mountain West and 58th in the nation.

The former Campbell quarterback and wide receiver played 27 games at Utah State after beginning his career at Eastern Arizona Community College.

The son of Anthony Wright and Tracee Glover, Glover-Wright graduated from Utah State in the spring of 2014 with an interdisciplinary studies degree emphasizing in sociology of sport.
