Summer Reading at Smyrna Library

It's time to start summer reading!

The Smyrna Public Library offers summer reading incentive programs for all ages this year. This year's theme is "Dig Into Reading," and activities include a visit from Peter Rabbit, a treasure hunt, and a "Bug Squad" party.

Children aged 10 and younger can enjoy story times, special events, and prizes for reading at the library.

For teen and tween readers, there are special programs every Tuesday such as a Steampunk Art project and T-shirt Reconstruction project. Jackson Pearce, author of Fathomless and Sisters Red, will also make an appearance to meet the young readers. The grand prize in the incentive drawing for teens is a 7" Google Nexus tablet.

In addition, Smyrna Public Library will offer an Adult Summer Reading program for the first time for grown-ups to enjoy a summer with author visits, lectures, book discussions, and a chance to win a Google Nexus tablet.
