Books For Africa Needs You

Local nonprofit that has sent more than 23 million donated text and library books to Africa is seeking volunteers for its Smyrna warehouse.

(BFA) is the largest shipper of donated books to the African continent, sending more than three million books a year to help spread literacy as a bridge out of poverty. Its goal: to end the book famine in Africa.

Learn more about BFA in the accompanying video that although is two years old, still conveys BFA’s commitment to creating a culture of literacy on the African continent.

The staff needs your help as volunteers are needed to help sort and pack books. It’s volunteer work that’s ideal for youth groups, friends, work team-building days, group outings, book lovers and more. The BFA friendly staff and music make it a whole lot of fun, as well.
