MUST Ministries needs help in transforming lives

Nonprofit looking for food donations including canned meats, fruit, dry milk and cereal.

is in need of food donations as the nonprofit organization faces a summer of increased need combined with a drop in giving.

MUST, which serves residents in Cobb and Cherokee counties, has seen a significant increase in the number of people asking for assistance. The nonprofit organization that operates a food and clothing pantry in Smyrna, has witnessed a 35-percent increase over this same time in 2010.

MUST distributes 2,000 pounds of food or 2,500 canned items each day to families in need. With dwindling resources, kids returning from school and the start of a new quarter of donation eligibility, the outreach for help is greater than ever.
