Smyrna non-profits honored by Wells Fargo
Wells Fargo's Third Annual Days of Giving celebration awarded 27 Cobb County non-profits with $1,000 grants.
Wells Fargo team members chose to honor 40 Metro Atlanta non-profits, including five from Smyrna, with $1,000 grants as part of its Third Annual Days of Giving celebration
40 nonprofits from Cobb County and surrounding areas were honored at a breakfast ceremony Tuesday, Nov. 9 at the Mansour Center in Marietta. The Smyrna groups that received grants were Habitat for Humanity, 40 Girls and Some Shoes, American Lung Association, Woodland Ridge and Special Olympics.
“Just the names of many groups say so much,” said Jim Lawrence, Wells Fargo’s community bank president for Cobb. “We are proud to reach so many groups and people through this.”

Wells Fargo’s Atlanta team pledged $937,000 during its annual United Way Community Support Campaign, a 10-percent increase from 2010. Wells Fargo’s Atlanta employees, as well as those in other business lines, chose which groups to honor during the Days of Giving celebration based on their work in the community.
The company is also making a $600,000 contribution to the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta as part of the campaign.
