Diaper Day, BYOD Party in Smyrna-Vinings, Cobb This Week

1. Help underprivileged families by donating new diapers to community organizations during Cobb Diaper Day on Monday, Oct. 28. Bring the diapers to Glover Park at Marietta Square starting at 5 p.m. and they will be distributed to MUST Ministries, the YWCA of Northwest Georgia, and other charitable organizations and given to the local families who need them most.

2. Learn about alternative education options for your children at St. Benedict's Episcopal Day School's prospective parent coffee at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The school is currently accepting students between 2-12 years old for the 2014-15 school year. The coffee event will feature administrators and a tour of the campus.

3. Wear your Halloween costume to Chick-fil-A on Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. for Fall Family Night. Entertainment will be provided by Lindley Middle School's Jazz Combo, and there will be face painting and photo opportunities with the famous cow. Come in costume and win a free cup of Ice Dream!

4. Learn how to use your mobile device to its fullest potential at the Smyrna Public Library's BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Party on Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 1-8 p.m. The helpful folks of the Smyrna Library will help you set up accounts with library services such as IndieFlix movies and Zinio magazines.

5. After you learn how to set up your tablet, have the willies scared out of you during the Monster Shorts after-hours movie party at the Library. Starting right after the BYOD Party, the library is going to showcase some short but scary films for your enjoyment on your mobile device that you've recently learned how to use completely! PLEASE NOTE: This event is for grown ups only!
