Holiday Storytelling, Horse Drawn Sleigh in Smyrna-Vinings This Week

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas with several holiday-themed events happening in Smyrna and Vinings this week.

1. Perfect your public speaking at the MacToast Toastmasters' next meeting at the Wildwood Building on Monday, Dec. 9 at 12:30 p.m. If you've ever wanted to build your confidence behind the podium in a safe and encouraging environment, Toastmasters may be what you're looking for.

2. Share in holiday storytelling at the Smyrna Public Library on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 6:30 p.m. The Cobb Cluster of the Southern Order of Storytellers will be spinning tales about the holidays for all interested patrons.

3. Dash through the snow in a one horse open sleigh at Vinings Jubilee on Friday, Dec. 13 at 5 p.m. It remains to be seen whether or not participants must laugh all the way, but it will definitely be a ride to remember.

4. Learn more about St. Benedict's Episcopal Day School during a prospective parent coffee on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 9:30 a.m. Each session is lead and filled with school officials, but is intimate enough to allow a question and answer period and a campus tour.

5. Take a tour of The SAE School during Thursday, Dec. 12's "Walk and Talk Tour," held at 9:30 a.m. Tour members will get to see classes in action, talk to school administrators, and learn about the school's plans for future expansion.
