Jonquil Garden Club Meeting, Wine Dinner in Smyrna-Vinings This Week

1. Sign your child up for spring sports through i9sports starting on Monday, Jan. 27. Offerings include co-ed baseball, co-ed soccer, co-ed instructional flag football, and co-ed flag football. The deadline to register early is Feb. 11!

2. Re-pot your favorite houseplant during the Jonquil Garden Club's meeting at the Smyrna Public Library on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 10:30 a.m. The theme of Tuesday's meeting is, "Give One, Get One, Houseplant Exchange."

3. Visit Mt. Bethel Christian Academy during their open house on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. Campus tours will be offered after a brief introduction. Applications are currently being accepted for new students for the 2014-15 school year.

4. Sample Goldschmidt Cellars Wine during Old Vinings Inn's wine dinner on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. The cuisine for the $85 event has been specially picked to perfectly accentuate the taste of Goldschmidt Cellar's finest wines. Reserve your seat by calling 770-438-2282.

5. Watch the latest episode of Downton before it is shown on television in the States by attending the Smyrna Public Library's Downton Day on Friday, Jan. 31 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to dress up and enjoy tea and scones on very fine china and lace tablecloths before getting to watch the newest episode of Downton Abbey a few days before it will air on public television!
