Town Hall, School Spirit Night This Week in Smyrna-Vinings

Several local organizations and governmental bodies have important events happening this week.

1. Chairman Tim Lee gives a state of the county address on Monday Jan. 13 at 7:30 a.m. at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. If you are unable to attend the meeting in person, you may watch it live or as a rebroadcast later in the week.

2. Commissioner Ott is holding a town hall on Tuesday, Jan. 14 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Brawner Hall. Ott will share a District 2 update and take questions from local residents.

3. Griffin Middle School will support Alive Ministries with a canned food drive at Chick-Fil-A on South Cobb Drive on Monday, Jan. 13 from 5 to 8 p.m. Anyone who brings in five or more canned goods for donation will earn a free Ice Dream cone.

4. Winds of Worship Learning Center is now open! Enroll your child at the faith-based childcare center starting on Monday, Jan. 13. For more information on the Winds of Worship Learning Center, please call 770-432-9575.

5. Network with fellow Ramblin' Wreck alumni at the Georgia Tech Cobb County Alumni Network's meet and greet at Zucca Bar and Pizzeria on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 5:30 p.m. To learn more about the group, please visit their Facebook Page.
