Free Reflux Screenings Offered Saturday

The tests will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Phipps Plaza.

A $2,000 medical test designed to help catch and detect a condition that can lead to a deadly cancer is being offered for free this weekend.

ENT Institute is holding free esophageal reflux screenings on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta.

Silent reflux, which this test can detect using a tiny nose tube, can lead to esophageal cancer, which has seen an 850 percent increase in prevalence since 1975, says CBS Atlanta.

Patients under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent.

To learn more about the screenings, contact ENT Institute at (770) 740-1860 or www.entinstitute.com.
