The annual sendoff to summer will begin on Saturday at the Smyrna Village Green.

Over 25 restaurants will join live music, a kid's zone and beautiful scenery during the 2013 Taste of Smyrna on Saturday.

The festival, which begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 8 p.m., will take over the Smyrna Village Green area and feature tents from eateries such as The Melting Pot, Pier 213 Seafood, Wing Zone, Williamson Bros. BBQ, Bruster’s Ice Cream Doc’s Food and Spirits, and La Paz, Village.

The deliciousness will be accompanied by acoustic music from Scott Thompson from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. next to the Veteran's Memorial. From 7 to 9 p.m., Peachtree Station will take the stage.

For the kids, there will be inflatables like a shark slide, a rock wall, and an obstacle course.

Admission to the Taste of Smyrna is free, while samples of food may run anywhere from $1 to $4.
