Atkins Park is my go-to place. Whether I'm going out to dinner with my fiance or I have friends/family in town, it's such a great place. The atmosphere is relaxing and the food is tasty!

My wife and I used to love going to Atkins Park, but once they enclosed the bar area with glass, neither of us can stand the smell of cigarette smoke and haven't been back. Before the glass wall it was never that bad. I understand that to keep it a smoking restaurant they need the barrier, but it just reeks when you walk in there now. Unless they make it non-smoking or get a better ventilation system, we won't be back...too bad too, because the food is great.

I recently discovered Atkins Park. I have tried three old favorites: cobb salad, reuben sandwich and BLT. All were better than any I have had before. I have resolved to work my way through the menu. The New Orleans/Louisiana roots are visible in the menu and the quality of the cuisine. They have a real, serious, chef and it shows. I recommend based on three very good experiences.

Decent place, but looks like they are spending too much time in the bar instead of keeping kitchen clean.
