I love Elsy. I've been coming to her salon since '06 and she has never failed. For $25 you get superior customer service, a great blow out that lasts, and a tranquil environment. Her prices do vary based on length and if you're relaxed or natural, but she's worth it. I haven't used her services for perms or color, although I know a few people who have and they are satisfied, so I can't personally vouche for those services. I normally come in when I'm two and 1/2 months into a perm and need to stretch it out, after I leave her shop my hair looks and feels like I just got a touch up and lasts for about a week (I wash weekly anyway so that's no biggie). I have tried other Dominican salons and none of them can match her speed and service. No matter what part of Atl I move to I always make my way back to her. I even moved to Phoenix for a year (no Dominican salons anywhere in that city FYI) and came to see Elsy whenever I was in town. So if you looking for the best in the business, you've found her in Elsy. S/n she only got 3 stars because I'm doing this from my phone...sitting in her shop...and the browser won't let me click past that for some reason :-/ but she definitely gets a 5 star rating.

HAIR CARE!!! That is Elsy's MAIN concern! Whether it's Elsy or someone else doing my hair they ALWAYS get it done excellently! I have natural hair and people ask me daily if I have something in my hair. It has body, bounce and shine! There is heat involved; however, they don't go overboard in my opinion. Bottom Line: No one else does my hair like Elsy's and trust I have tried out several others!

Went here very skeptical about getting my hair done--much less colored--by people who barely understood english, but a friend swore by it so I bit the bullet. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. I went in considering a texturizer (I'm natural), color, or both. After convincing me I didn't need to get a texturizer, the lady doing my hair did exactly what I wanted. The color came out great and people really don't believe I didn't chemically straighten my hair. She trimmed just enough off my ends and didn't go crazy with the scissors as I am always weary of with salons. My color, wash&blowout, and trim all came to $65, while I was quoted $150 at a couple other salons for the same services. I def. recommend this place if you're willing to make the trip and not have a super tight relationship with your stylist as I think one person in the salon spoke fluent english.
