Did school officials make the right call in holding classes on Jan. 28 despite the winter storm warning? Credit: Credit: Bobby Gates

The schools should have been closed. Better to err on the side of caution then to put our childrenRead More in harms way. Having children stuck on busses on the road and sleeping at the local food store is totally unacceptable. So many children were absent from school that teachers were unable to teach new material anyway. And if the predicted storm turned out to be a false alarm, the missed day could have been made up, if necessary. The schools close for every other ridiculous reason - too hot, too cold, the day after a holiday, why not close for a valid reason. Better that then what we ended up with.

Until GA learns how to sand major roads in advance, and buys enough plows, they just need to cancelRead More school on the threat of snow.

Just two weeks ago they canceled school because of the cold temps. Remember? They should haveRead More never evenhad school on Tuesday

Honestly, I completely disagree with the statement he made, which although wasn't overt, wasRead More implied. However, we all know these guys are expected to be rednecks and I think he acted within expectations of his role, whether we agree with him or not. You can't really punish someone who is paid for being a redneck for actually being a redneck.

I wonder how many people have died because of bombs and defense weapons Lockheed Martin has created.Read More When will Lockheed Martin take a stand on peace vs employing hard working individuals to create weapons of destruction. Love all, even your enemies.

I think as an individual seldom collectively, if we are required to get in lockstep to make a pointRead More there is little chance for difference or a voluntary change of heart and freedom (which has never been seen anywhere, only experienced )is badly bruised. If we all have to agree on only one direction as we did with prohibition I choose FREEDOM. LOCKHEED AND THE BOY SCOUTS each make sence , Central thought does not get the problem solved or us truly moving forward. In the boy scouts you can learn to build a model plane and\ or become aware of masterbation. THANK GOD hambone

Well, let's look at this from another angle. Say they put women as scout leaders in the BoyscoutsRead More and men scout leaders in the Girl Scouts. How would everybody feel about that? On the surface, it should be okay because we are supposed to trust everybody to do the right thing. Now, let's go back to all of the teachers who have been caught having sex with their students. In all honesty, I think that most gays make great parents. At least the ones I've seen. Now, if you want to put lesbians as leaders in the Boy Scouts and gay men as leaders in the Girl Scouts, I would feel a lot safer. Maybe they should consider doing that. No chance of the leaders being "attracted" to the kids and, like it or not, the gay lifestyle is here. I may not agree with it, but I accept that I can't do anything about it and just choose to move along. I think the Boy Scouts did the wrong thing. It is prejudice and since when did you have to believe in God to do something (besides in the religion field)?

No, unless they make a special sound-tight phone booth room in planes.
