Patch is looking for bloggers and we want you to join us. We know that some of you have been on the fence about blogging because you think it's a big time commitment. Or you worry about being a good enough writer. So we've decided to gather current and would-be bloggers for an informal meet and greet. This is a chance to get together with other interesting people who are blogging on Patch and to find out how easy it is to get involved. And you can also get to know your Patch Local Editor. Mark your calendar and join us from 6-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19 at Social Vinings. We'll provide the appetizers, and we hope you'll join us to learn about how you can be part of the community conversation!

We're looking for bloggers who can riff on various topics, share their personality and engage our readers in discussions. Patch is more than a news site, it's an online conversation about your community. Then, we want to hear from you. This isn't a reporting job. It's blogging. You write what you want to say when you want to say it. Do it on your schedule, whether that's posting multiple entries per day or a couple times a month. Patch won't own what you post, so you can repost your entries to your other blogs. Much like The Huffington Post has done, Patch is providing local bloggers an online platform to have their words seen by a larger audience. Check out this recent post from Smyrna-Vinings Patch blogger Sarah Douglas. Her list of what…
