What's wrong with "church as usual?"
How the church should make sure all its modern trappings don't get in the way of the main objective.
Contemplating the ways of God while having a cup of hot java seems highly appropriate these days, doesn’t it? I was in a local coffee shop recently, working on another writing project and generally minding my own business, when I overheard a group of young adults talking about their church. They were sitting at a large table coming up with a strategy to make their new church successful. I sat there inconspicuously behind my laptop and couldn’t help but listen in as I continued to type away. The guy in charge (I’m assuming he is the pastor but I could be wrong) said something very interesting to me – something I’ve heard a lot of people say without ever really knowing what they mean. Prayerfully, one day we will move beyond "the outer man" and begin to deal with real issues of the heart.
