Drive In, Order Up: Food Truck Park Coming to Smyrna
Food Truck Tuesdays are in the works for Smyrna's Taylor Brawner Park.
The food trucks are coming! The food trucks are coming! Smyrna City Council voted at its meeting Monday to approve Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays at Taylor Brawner Park. The first food truck event could be held as early as June 26, said Jennifer Bennett, Smyrna’s community relations director. Smyrna resident Bettie Cagle is the organizer of the Virginia Highlands food truck event. She approached Bennett about starting a food truck event in Smyrna. “The Smyrna one could easily be the best food truck location in the metro area,” Bennett said. She said they hope to ultimately bring between seven and 12 food trucks event.
