Missing Girl, Griselda Cibrian, Found in Norcross

The 14-year-old girl had been taken from Glennville, Ga., on Sunday.

Norcross police found missing 14-year-old Amber Alert victim Griselda Cibrian at an area motel Monday morning, according to a news release from the police department. The girl had called her mother shortly before and told her where she was, police said. She was picked up at about 8:20 a.m. She had been reported missing from Glennville in Southeast Georgia on Sunday afternoon. About an hour later, police found the man Griselda left Glennville with, 24-year-old Raymundo Aranda-Parra, and took him into custody, according to the news release.  Police said Aranda-Parra is being held on the charge of interference with custody while detectives investigate. Levi's Call Issued for Abducted Child

The suspect's black 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, with Georgia license plate PDH6391, was last seen traveling west on Interstate 16 towards Atlanta.

A 14-year-old girl was abducted this afternoon and authorities said the suspect could be headed to metro Atlanta. The Glennville Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation have issued a Levi's Call for Griselda Cibrian, who is 5-foot-7 and weighs 187 lbs. She has long black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt with the words "green tea" on it, and blue jean pants. Her abductor is believed to be a 24-year-old hispanic man named Danny, who is 5-foot-7 and weighs 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket, a red shirt, blue jeans, a brown cowboy hat and cowboy boots. Danny was last seen driving a black 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, with Georgia license plate PDH6391. The truck was last seen traveling …

The More You Know: What's a Mattie's Call?

Patch finds out the difference between a Mattie's Call and other emergency alerts and how they are used.

Smyrna-Vinings residents were on the alert this weekend after the Smyrna Police Department issued a Mattie’s Call for a missing teen. But what is a Mattie’s Call? How does it differ from a Levi’s Call and how do police know when to issue one? Patch caught up with Public Information Officer Michael Smith to learn more. He explained that there are specific criteria that differentiate Mattie’s Calls from Levi’s Calls “The state—and it’s not just Georgia—have set it so the system isn’t overly used,” he said. “When we use it, we want people to pay attention and as with anything else, if you get too much of it and it’s not pertinent information people start ignoring it. UPDATE: Missing Toddler Found

The Levi's Call for missing 3-year-old Austin Waters of Monroe has been canceled.

UPDATE: According to WDRW-TV Augusta, Austin Waters, 3, has been found. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has canceled the Levi's Call.  ORIGINAL STORY: Local authorities in Walton County have issued a Levi's Call for a toddler who was last seen early Saturday afternoon. Austin Waters, 3, was abducted from Monroe on Saturday. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and blue jeans. Waters is thought to be in grave danger.  According to authorities, the abductor is believed to be 44-year-old Bobby Waters. He is driving either a 1993 gray Toyota Camry with license plate number B2W 9549 or a 1990 Geo Metro with license plate number BYK 4692.
