Smyrna-Vinings Election Guide

Everything you need to know to prepare to vote on Tuesday.

Election Day is here! It is time to determine the next president of the United States and a handful of state and local offices in Tuesday's general election. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all precincts in Cobb County. In Georgia, it's also state law to provide photographic identity in order to vote. See the attached PDFs for a sample ballot, and a precinct-by-precinct breakdown of 2008 election turnout in Cobb. If you are unsure of your precinct, check your voter registration card, visit "My Voter Page" on the Georgia Secretary of State website, or use this Google voter tool. Cobb County Runoff Election is Today

See who's still left in the race, find out where to vote and see sample ballots.

Today Cobb County voters decide the fate of several candidates who made it to the runoff election including Cobb County Chairman candidates Tim Lee and Bill Byrne. On the Republican ballot, Smyrna-Vinings voters will chose their party’s nominee for Cobb County Chairman. The party’s nominee will be the Chairman by default because no Democrats sought nomination to the office.  Lee led in the July 31 primary with 39.71 percent of the vote with Byrne coming in second with 26.52 percent. Republican voters will also choose between Rebecca Keaton and John Skelton for Cobb Superior Court Clerk.
