Vote for the Best Pizza in Smyrna-Vinings

Vote for the best pizza places in Smyrna-Vinngs so we can find out which is the Readers’ Choice 2012 winner.

We asked: Who serves the best pizza in Smyrna-Vinings? You spoke, and gave us your favorites. Now, it's time to choose the winner. Will the winner be Blue Moon Pizza, DaVinci's, Stevi B's, Bella's Pizza, St. Angelo's, Uncle Maddio's, Zucca, New York Pizza Exchange or Siracusa's? Cast your vote by August 17 and help us decide who's best. Whichever business gets the most votes will be named the Readers' Choice winner. The poll will open to accept votes from registered Patch users starting on July 23 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 17. Winners in all Readers Choice categories will be announced on Aug. 24.

Readers Declare Cowlick's Best for FroYo in Smyrna-Vinings

Cowlick's Yogurt and Floats was named the Readers' Choice winner for best frozen yogurt.

The votes are in and Smyrna-Vinings Patch readers’ favorite place for a chilly treat is Cowlick’s Yogurt and Floats. Sub Zero Yogurt Bar held the lead for most of the week, but Cowlick’s rode a late wave of votes and comments to the finish line for the win. Michael Cook, a Cowlick’s manager, was excited to hear the news. “That’s awesome!” he said. “We were pushing for that. We made a sign and encouraged people to come and vote for us if you really like our yogurt. It seemed like it worked.” Here’s what some readers had to say about Cowlick’s: “Cowlicks is the best! Jim N' Nick's Best Place for Sweet Tea in Smyrna-Vinings

This week's Readers' Choice was a close race between Jim N' Nick's and Old South Bar-B-Q.

This week’s Readers’ Choice contest was a close one. Jim N’ Nick’s Bar-B-Q and Old South Bar-B-Q were tied the entire time, but Jim N’ Nick’s squeaked out a win at the last minute with 10 votes in our poll. Chris McDonald, Jim N’ Nick’s chef, said he and the owner were thrilled to learn they had the best sweet tea in Smyrna-Vinings. “I’m just in love with the way that we prepare all our food,” he said. “We make it just like anybody’s grandmother would make it—down home with a lot of love. Our sweet tea is made with pure sugar cane and tea. It’s definitely an honor to have the best sweet tea, the best anything.
