Driving in Snow or Ice? Heed These Tips from GDOT

Winter weather is approaching. If you have to go out on the roads, follow these tips to stay safe.

Amid today’s forecasts calling for possible snow and ice, officials from the Georgia Department of Transportation say they are monitoring weather forecasts and road conditions and will respond accordingly and specifically target areas vulnerable to freezing, like hills, ramps, bridges and interchanges.  GDOT officials on Thursday released several tips for drivers who have to hit the roads amid tonight’s wintry conditions. GDOT Issues Inclement Weather Road Advisory

GDOT is urging motorists to monitor weather conditions in advance with the possibility of light snow and icy roadways expected Thursday and Friday in areas of North Georgia.
