Stormtroopers Marching into Smyrna
It's plenty of kid and family fun on the weekend horizon with Star Wars Saturday at the library and an outdoor screening of “Gnomeo and Juliet’’ in Taylor-Brawner Park.
The force is strong in the Smyrna Public Library as the building will be overrun by Stormtroopers from Georgia’s 501st Legion Saturday as part of Star Wars Saturday. The event kicks off at 2 p.m. when Stormtroopers and Imperial TIE Pilots take over the library’s first floor for a meet-and-greet. Library staff will provide Star Wars-themed crafts for children as well as trivia games. Children and their parents are encouraged to attend dressed as their favorite characters from the series. This free program does not require advance registration but the library does ask that all families who attend be Smyrna Public Library cardholders.
